A Story of Eventually Getting Home

Prologue

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Angela.

She was eight with long brown hair. When she grew up she wanted really bad to be adventurous.

Going places. Seeing stuff. That’s what Angela wanted.

THAT’S JUST THE BEGINNING!

Chapter 1

Angela’s mom shouted loudly from the second floor, “Angela!”

Angela ran upstairs.

“Who do you want to invite to your sleepover?” Mom said.

Angela said, “Vanessa and, of course, Paige.”

The next day the two girls came over.

The girls started a board game named “Adventures.” Soon the girls got sucked into the game.

Chapter 2

The girls were trying to get out, but they ended up on a weird street called, “Evandale.”

They had never been inside a game before.  They needed to find a way out soon before the magic key gets destroyed by the dragon and they can never get home.

Chapter 3

“What should we do?” asked Vanessa to the two other girls.

A fairy godmother came and told them you have to cross the ocean of lava and swim to the other side of the forest to pick up the roses and then go to the dragon’s lair and get the key to go home.

Chapter 4

Angela said, “Well, you heard what the fairy godmother said. We have to go to the ocean of lava.”

“Are you crazy?” said Vanessa. “We can’t cross a big ocean of lava.”

“No,” replied Paige.

“Yes, we can do that,” said Angela.

Chapter 5

Paige and Vanessa said, “We just can’t cross an ocean of lava.”

“Yes, we can,” Angela replied. “Look, there are rocks that we can walk on to get across.”

“That is brilliant,” Paige said.

The girls walked across the ocean of lava and at the end there was a girl named Lava Girl.

Chapter 6

She wanted to come with them.

“Do you know how to find the dragon and the key?” asked Angela.

“Yes,” she said.

The fairy godmother came again. “Now you have to swim to the forest.”

“But we don’t have bathing suits,” said Angela.

In a poof, the fairy godmother gave them bathing suits.

“Come on,” said Angela.

“Wait,” said Paige and Vanessa. “The water is going fast. If we don’t swim fast, we will get stuck in the water.”

“I can help,” said Lava girl.

Chapter 7

They got into the water.

Lava girl helped them to swim fast enough. Their bathing suits disappeared and their old clothes came back when they got out of the water.

They met a boy there named Sharkboy.

“I can help you defeat the dragon and get the key too,” said Sharkboy.

The godmother came again and said, “Now you must get the roses. The roses will defeat the dragon. The dragon is allergic to roses. ”

Chapter 8

They went to a meadow called “Phillips’ Field” and picked the roses.

They met a boy there called Roses Boy who wanted to help them too. He said, “I am the only one who can use the flowers, so I must come with you.”

They all went to the dragon’s cave and the dragon was sleeping. The dragon smelled the roses and, with a sparkle, he went away.

Now that they had the key, the fairy godmother said, “All you have to do is jump up and down and say, ‘Home is where I am safe.”

Chapter 9

In a flash, they were back in Angela’s living room.

They had dinner and she waved goodbye to Paige and Vanessa.
